Curved surface processing

  • This a twisted surface where the wall angle changes constantly. The R at the back of the serrations is 0.04 (tool used: tapered 19° tip R0.04 ball)

  • Direct engraving of logo on spherical surface.
  • Direct engraving on a cylindrical surface of an aluminun cap for alcoholic beverages (product photo). Both concave and convex characters are engraved.


Trial production



  • This intricate model was created manually by converting a resin sample into 3D data using manual techniques, before the widespread adoption of 3D scanners. The process was highly demanding and required significant skill.



  • Direct engraving of molds from 3D scanning (outsourcing) using a 3D scanner.
4-axis rotary processing
  • Roulette electrode machined simultaneously on the X-Axis and A-Axis (rotational axis). (Tool used: tapered with a 45° tip and a diameter of 0.68mm) *Video available.
  • Roulette electrode with a 1-convex 0.3 profile (tool used: tapered with a 45° tip with and a R of 0.04mm at the ball end).
  • Roulette electrode with a 0.8 convex 0.5 profile. Due to the surface having a steep conical gradient, we tilted the B-Axis during machining. (tool used: tapered with a 38° tip and a diameter of 0.06mm).
  • Twisted surface machining along the circumference using simultaneous 2-axis processing of X-Axis and A-Axis (rotational axis).
  • Direct engraving of internal thread.
  • The engraving for the date printing machine is done using cylindrical interpolation. (Material: Brass).
  • Direct engraving on a focus ring mold using cylindrical interpolation. *Video available.
